2024 Update

  • Promoted anti-racism and anti-bias workshops for all UTM staff.
  • Developed a campus-wide wellness toolkit for managers, including resources about anti-Black racism.

  • Facilitated the development of, and recruitment for, new staff positions supporting Black excellence, including an Educational developer for anti-racist pedagogies, an Equity Project Specialist, Sciences, and the Manager and Coordinator of Black initiatives.

  • New Staff Orientation session includes EDI presentation - introducing new staff to the UTM chapter of Connections & Conversations the affinity group for BIPOC staff. Orientation sessions take place periodically each year
